Ecco la traduzione del nostro articolo intitolato 'Uchronic history VIII : the "Dawn path, a legacy of De Batz and Boissy d'Anglas !', e pubblicato su "Global Politics and Economics" il 1° Gennaio 2020.

Una corrente trasversale ignorata potrebbe periodicamente dare il sopravvento alla vita politica, sociale ed economica francese dopo la Rivoluzione : quello del Barone Jean de Batz (1754 - 1822) e del Conte Boissy d'Anglas (1756 - 1826).
Lo chiamiamo "il Cammino dell'Alba", come il suo obiettivo sarebbe quello di migliorare la vita quotidiana anche se l'apertura di un nuovo giorno dopo l'alba, con un pragmatismo ottimista.
Abbiamo già attirato la vostra attenzione con quei due uomini d'eccezione, con il nostro articolo originale pubblicato su "Global Politics and Economics" il 2 agosto 2019 : "Storia u-cronaca V : De batz - Boissy d'Anglas, una amicizia trascurata !"
La loro corrente potenzialmente restante è del Sud, ma ha anche toccato tutto l'Atlantico Ovest, e anche la "Città senza Nome" che ha terribilmente sofferto sotto i Giacobini tra gli altri, sul lato oposite della Francia (Lyon). La particolarità di Lyon è che perse anche il suo nome, durante la Rivoluzione !
I nostri due protagonisti venivano infatti dal Sud-Ovest della Francia per il primo (castello di Gouts, richiamando la parola "Guts" in inglese), e dal Sud-Est per il secondo (Annonay).
La loro tendenza commune è stata caratterizzata da tolleranza, una provata intraprendenza, e una notevole ingegnosità per addatarsi e sopravvivere ad un periodo estremamente pericoloso e caotico.
E sotto molti aspetti, questo Cammino utile e pratico (in un tempo simile) apparirebbe paradossalmente cosi' moderato e discreto nei fatti, che molti osservatori non avrebbero mai potuto identificarlo, per più di due secoli !
Sarebbe la Via di Mezzo : quella della Riconciliazione Francese.
Non troppo prepotenti, ma abili e giovali, quei due Nobili diedero il sapore del terroir dimenticato e del cuore della Francia.
Si sono opposti fin dall'inizio ai supremazisti Giacobini una resistenza sorpredente ma di successo, con il loro modo focalizzato : alla cecità iniqua, massacri ripetuti, e crudeltà, si sono opposti alla loro abilità, il loro tatto, la loro efficienza...e ultima ma non ultima la loro umanità !
Di fatto, la Corrente geniale e genuina che ci hanno dato per lascito storico, basata semplicemente sulla volontà, l'auto-aiuto e il buon senso, non cercherebbe di sottomettere brutalmente gli individui - chiunque essi siano -, a diktat incomprensibili e inumani.
Prenderebbe semplicemente le persone come sono, rispetando i loro diritti fondamentali, indipendentemente dal genere, dall'età, o dall'origine.
Essa considera la Francia sopratutto, come un'entità geografica realmente viva che merita grande rispetto.
Quindi, paradossalmente, anche se non prometteva una "Grande Serata", avrebbe portato in sé la "Grande Serata" !
Alcuni ottimi osservatori potrebbero anche vedere in esso le stupefazioni, impercettibilmente intrecciate e espressioni del vecchio mondo di un idealizato "Regalismo" (come cavalleresco, ordinato e glorioso), e il "Sermone sulla Montagna" con le sue beatitudini suggerite (San Matteo, V-7), completamente mescolati !
Apparirebbe come una Corrente sottoreana trascedente, con le sue influenze incrociate e discrete che fanno (o annulo) una Maggioranza.
Impercettibile ed enigmatico, solo le menti più illuminate sarebbero in grado di seguire (...o indovinare) i suoi meandri. Infatti, sembra piuttosto furtivo, anche se preciso come una forza motrice sconosciuta.
Trarrebbe la sua potenza impressionnante ed efficace, dalla sua forza di coesione attiva : interagirebbe come un "collagene" politico e sociale, per dare un'immagine abbastanza espressiva della Rigenerazione !
Questo "Sentiero dell'Alba" potrebbe essere quello di una Francia eterna che rifiuta di morire, e mostra ogni giorno con una penetrante ostinazione quanto essia sia viva e perenne.
Sarebbero le anime e la capacità riscoperte, e non la dispersione !
A volte, la sua improvvisa audacia potrebbe quasi apparire come il sueno mezzo scherzo di un moschettiere della Guascogna. Infatti, durante tutta la sua vita avventuroza e molto ricca, Jean de Batz ha cercato di comportarsi come un altro uomo molto famoso nella sua famiglia, Charles de Batz - meglio conosciuto con il nome di D'Artagnan (1611~1615 - 1673).
E come lui, mori`con il altamente onorevole titolo di "Maresciallo del Re", con i segreti delle sue sfide più formidabili e delle sue storiche risultati.
Tornando a nostri due eroi del giorno, il Barone Jean de Batz e il Conte François-Antoine de Boissy d'Anglas, è importante ricordare un aneddoto trascurato.
E`claro oggi che il rapido rilascio di Jean de Batz con un abbandono di tutte le cariche, dopo il brevissimo sussulto monarchico del 13 Vendemiario anno IV (5 ottobre 1795), non è stato solo a causa dell'aiuto segreto di la Signorina "Désirée" Thilorier (la sua futura moglie) e la Marchesa di Janson (alias Marie-Antoinette), ma anche al discretissimo intervento del influente Conte Boissy d'Anglas !
Per concludere, questo percorso straordinario trarrebbe la sua forza e la sua potenza da una terra di abbondanza ("pays de cocagne" in francese), che non è mai stato del tutto imaginario !
Rappresenterebbe la luce di fronte all'oscurità, anche se non avrebbe paura del grido del gufo di Chouani da una notte senza luna !
Come Creatore Riconosciuto di Richezza, il Barone Jean de Batz non avrebbe certamente negato l'impatto della misteriosa lettera "k", che Lord John Maynard Keynes, Barone di Tilton (1886 - 1946) ha messo in evidenza molto tempo dopo, come moltiplicatore di richezza per il maggior numero di persone.
Il fatto che il nostro "nuovo D'Artagnan" ha creato la prima Compagnia di Assicurazione sulla Vita in Francia, è un'altra particolarità.
In questo nuovo campo, è stato in grado di sviluppare una rete internazionale sullo sfondo.
Come era un uomo molto convinto, il Barone de Batz si è assicurato il successo di questa attività per le persone Reali.
E`intervenuto di persona nelle due operazioni audaci di salvataggio del Re Louis XVI (lungo il "52 rue de Beauregard" in Parigi, la mattina del 21 gennaio 1793), e della Regina Marie-Antoinette (vicino alla via d'uscità della Prigione della Conciergerie anche a Parigi, nella notte decisiva del 30 agosto 1793).
Per proseguire, bisogna aggiungere che ha salvato molte persone proibite. Prima che potessero rifugiarsi all'estero, li ha messo al sicuro nella sua residenza discreta della "rue de Charonne", o in uno dei suoi amici luogo, "rue de Cléry" per esempio. La seconda si trova proprio dietro la "rue de Beauregard" quando si passa il vicolo più corto di Parigi, (5,75 metri di lunghezza), tra i numeri "50" e "52 rue de Beauregard" giustamente : la "rue des degrés", che è scala. Avrebbe dovuto essere chiamata la "rue du miracle de la Vierge" (la strada "del miracolo della Vergine"), data la sua importanza storica in un slancio piuttosto determinante.
Contro ogni previsione, l'alleanza sacra e molto discreta che il Barone de Batz e il Conte Boissy d'Anglas forgiarono più di due secoli fa, sarebbe ancora operando come il cuore santo di un archetipo al servizio della Francia eterna.
Ha funzionato creativamente mettendo fine alla Rivoluzione, con il regime molto originale del Direttorio (1795 - 1799).
Questa Corrente ecumenica sarebbe davvero molto paradossale, ma sopratutto sarebbe Serenità, Gioia della Vita, e Serendipità in questo mondo di ricreazione permanente !
Nella nostra prima Cronaca della "Storia u-cronaca", quando abbiamo parlato della forza trascurata dei presunti inesistenti "Nuovi Chouani" per le elezioni prezidenziali, avevamo ovviamente una tale Corrente ignorata in mente.
Rileggete cio` che abbiamo scritto il 1° Febbraio 2017, nel nostro articolo intitolato 'L'ondata di "nostalgia" nella nueva Francia : una storia u-cronaca per la fantasia dal 2017 !'
Con una distanza di quasi tre anni, si puo` vedere come effetivo è diventato quello che abbiamo indovinato.
Abbiamo concluso in particolare sulle elezioni presidenziali che dovevano arrivare tre mesi dopo, che "la nostalgia è la chiave segreta per capire il popolo francese".
E oggi la fiducia nel fascino euristico della tacca, potrebbe essere aggiunto !

Uchronic history VIII : the "Dawn Path", a legacy of De Batz and Boissy d'Anglas !

An ignored transverse Current might periodically give overhong to the French political, social, and economic life since the Revolution : the one of the Baron Jean de Batz (1754 - 1822) and the Count François-Antoine de Boissy d'Anglas (1756 - 1826).
We call it the "Dawn Path", as its aim would be to improve everyday life through the opening of a new day after Dawn, with an optimistic pragmatism.
We attracted already your attention about those two men of exception, with our original article published on "Global politics and economics" on August 2nd, 2019 : "Uchronic history V : De Batz - Boissy d'Anglas, an overlooked friendship !".
Their potentially remaining Current is Southern, but it has also touched all the Atlantic West, and even the courageous "Nameless City" which terribly suffered among others under the Jacobines, on the opposite side of France (Lyon). The unusual peculiarity of Lyon is that it even lost its name, during the Revolution !
Our two protagonists were coming indeed from the South-West of France for the first one (castle of Gouts, recalling the word "Guts" in English), and from the South-East for the second (Annonay).
Their common trend was marked by tolerance, a proven resourcefulness, and a remarkable ingeniosity to adapt and survive an extremely dangerous and chaotic period.
And in many respects, this useful and practical Path (in a similar time) would appear paradoxically so moderate and discreet in the facts, that many observers would have never been able to identify it, for more than two centuries !
It would be the Middle Path : the one of France Appeasement. Not excessively domineering, but smart and jovial fellows, those two noblemen gave the taste of the forgotten terroirs and the heartland of France.
They opposed from the right beginning to the supremacist Jacobines a surprising but successful resistance, with their own focused way : to iniquitous blindness, repeated massacres, and cruelty, they opposed their skill, their tact, and their efficiency...and last but not least their humanity !
As a matter of fact, the ingenious and genuine Current they gave us by Historical Legacy, simply based upon will, self-help, and common sense, wouldn't seek to brutally submit individuals - whoever they are -, to incomprehensible and inhuman diktats.
It would simply take people as they are, by respecting their basic rights whatever the gender, age, or origin.
It considers France, above all, as a truly living geographical entity which is deserving great respect.
So then very paradoxically, though it wouldn't promise any "Great Evening", it would carry in itself the "Great Evening" !
Some fine observers might even see in it the astonishingly intertwined and old-world expressions of an idealized "Royalism" (as chivalrous, orderly, and glorious), and the "Sermon on the Mountain" with its suggested beatitudes (Saint Matthew, V-7), totally mixed up !
It would appear as a transcendent underground Current, with its crossed and discreet influences, making (or unmaking) a Majority. Imperceptible and enigmatic, only the most enlightened minds would be able to follow (...or guess) its meanders. In fact, it seems rather stealthy, although precise as an unknown driving force.
It would draw its impressive and effective power, from its force of active cohesion : it would interact as a kind of political and social "collagen", to give a quite expressive image of Regeneration !
This "Dawn Path" might be the one of an eternal France which is refusing to die, and is showing every day with a penetrating obstination how much it is staying alive and vivid.
It would be the gathering of the rediscovered souls and abilities, and not the dispersion !
Sometimes, its sudden boldness could almost appear as the sound half-joke of a Musketeer from Gascony. In fact during all his adventurous and very rich life, Jean de Batz tried to behave like another very famous man in his family, Charles de Batz - better known under the name of D'Artagnan (1611~ 1615 - 1673). And like him, he died with the highly honourable title of "Marschal of the King", with the secrets of his most formidable challenges and historical achievements.
Coming back to our two heroes of the day, the Baron Jean de Batz and the Count François-Antoine de Boissy d'Anglas, it is important to recall an overlooked anecdote.
It is clearly thought nowadays, that the rapid release of Jean de Batz with a waiver of all charges, after the very brief Royalist startle of Vendémiaire 13th, Year IV (October 5th, 1795), was not only due to the secret help of Mademoiselle "Désirée" Thilorier (his future wife) and the Marchioness of Janson (aka Marie-Antoinette), but also to the very discreet intervention of the influent Count Boissy d'Anglas !
Active Hope, astuteness as well as incredible luck through realization, and panache, remain their sovereign "Engines" beyond centuries !
They must have felt happy when they retired from life at the Sunset of their astonishing destiny, by contemplating retrospectively all their actions of brilliance and their daring strokes !
To conclude, this amazing Path would draw its strength and stimulating power from a "land of plenty" ("pays de cocagne" in French), which has never been entirely imaginary !
It would be representing the light in front of obscurity, even it wouldn't be afraid of the owl's cry of Chouans on a Moonless night !
As a recognized Wealth Creative Maker, the Baron Jean de Batz wouldn't certainly have denied the unlocking impact of the mysterious letter "k", that Lord John Maynard Keynes, Baron of Tilton (1883 - 1946) put on evidence far after, as the "multiplicator of wealth" for the largest number !
The fact our "new D'Artagnan" created the first Life Insurance Company in France is another peculiarity. In this new field, he was able to develop an international network in the background.
As he was a very convinced man, the Baron de Batz ensured himself the success of this operational activity for Royals. Didn't he intervene in person in the two bold operations of rescue of the King Louis XVI (along the "52 rue de Beauregard" in Paris, in the morning of January 21st, 1793), and the Queen Marie-Antoinette (near the way out of the Conciergerie Jail in Paris too, on the decisive night of August 30th, 1793) ?
To go further, it has to be added that he saved a lot of proscribed people. Before they could take refuge abroad, he sheltered them in his discreet residence of the "rue de Charonne", or at one of his friends' place, "rue de Cléry" for instance. The latter is situated just behind the "rue de Beauregard", when you pass the shortest street of Paris (5.75 meters long) in between the numbers "50" and "52 rue de Beauregard" precisely, the staircase "rue des degrés" : it should have been called the "rue du Miracle de la Vierge" (the "street of the Virgin Miracle"), owing to its historical importance in a quite determining momentum.
Against all odds, the sacred and very discreet alliance the Baron de Batz and the Count Boissy d'Anglas forged more than two centuries ago, would still be operating like the holy heart of an archetype to the service of eternal France.
It worked creatively by putting an end to the Revolution, with the very original regime of Directoire (1795 - 1799).
With a distance of almost three years now, you can see how effective became what we guessed.
We particularly concluded about the presidential election which had to come three months later, that "nostalgy is the secret key to understand French people".
And today, confidence in the alluring heuristic of the notch could be added !
